Description
1927 $20 St Gaudens Double Eagle, PCGS MS66 (CAC)
From a mintage of more than 2.9 million pieces, the 1927 Saint-Gaudens double eagle largely escaped the catastrophic melting of most gold issues that followed the Gold Recall of 1933. The issue is readily available in grades up to the MS66 level, but finer coins are elusive. This incredibly well-preserved Premium Gem displays sharply detailed design elements, vibrant mint luster, and attractive orange-gold surfaces with hints of rose and lilac. To add to the coins desirability, it is CAC endorsed.
