Description
1834 $5 Plain 4 MS62 PCGS. First Head, Breen-6501, McCloskey 3-B, R.1.
First Head. A lovely Classic five dollar Half Eagle from the introductory year of the short-lived type. The coin is attributed by the Script 8, Plain 4 in the date, and the close distance between the 34. This is and early die state with traces of arc-shaped cracks through stars 3 to 6. A sharply struck honey-gold representative with glimpses of orange-red toning near the rims. Luster dominates the margins and motifs, with light hairlines which is consistent with grade.
